Genetically Modified Organisms in Food

Recently, thanks in part to companies like Max Motamedian’s Total NutriCare, people have become more aware of the presence of GMOs, or genetically modified organisms, in their foods. GMOs are used by food producers to alter a variety of food characteristics. Some experts link the consumption of food that has been artificially altered by GMOs to poor health.

Additionally, foods that contain GMOs are very likely to contain various types of chemicals. These chemicals might include ones used to kill insects, ones to approve the item’s visual appearance, and/or ones to inhibit the growth of bacteria. If a food seems unnaturally resistant to growing mold, it very likely contains high amounts of preservatives. While some people may think the increased shelf life of certain foods is a positive feature, consuming such products may come at the cost of their health.
