BenQ Adds the SW270C to its PhotoVue Photographer Monitors Lineup

Based in Southern California, Mohsen “Max” Motamedian guides PcBase USA and provides a diverse lineup of quality computers and peripherals from brand names such as HP, GoPro, Samsung, and Toshiba. Among the specialized companies that Mohsen Motamedian stocks product is BenQ, which offers state-of-the-art monitors. 

In early July, BenQ released its much-awaited 2560x1440 resolution 27-inch PhotoVue SW270C monitor, which is designed as a cost-effective photo editing monitor. First unveiled at NAB 2019 in Las Vegas in April, the product is part of a popular PhotoVue Photographer Monitors lineup and is an upgrade from the 27-inch SW2700PT, which is in the $600 range and combines 99 percent AdobeRBG coverage with 2K resolution.

For about $200 more, buyers of the SW270C gain BenQ’s new Color Uniformity Technology, which offers precise screen-wide color. In addition, they are provided with 97 percent DCI-P3 color space coverage and native cadence support when editing and viewing 24p and 25p content. The Hotkey Puck controller has also been redesigned and a super robust USB-C port provides for simultaneous power-drawing and audio and video information sharing with the monitor.
